Biothane Rope Grot

Traditionally made from cord, a Grot slip collar or French collar is specially designed for strong-willed, aggressive, or pull-happy dogs.

This collar is crafted from high-quality materials and features a sturdy cord that loops securely around your dog's neck.

When your dog pulls on the lead, the collar gently tightens, effectively correcting behavior without causing pain or discomfort.

At Talias Tails, we make out Grot's using Biothane making them waterproof and mudproof, easy to wipe clean and odour-resistant.

Please note that we try to get these to you as soon as possible but as they are a handmade by a small Aberdeenshire businees and a custom item, dispatch can take 2-3 weeks.

How tight should a grot collar be?
Two-Finger Rule

Place two fingers between the dog's neck and the collar while lightly pulling back on it. If you can fit two fingers comfortably under the collar, then the collar is likely a good fit!

This is waterproof, easy to clean and reduced smell compared with standard rope Grot collars.

What is BioThane®?
BioThane® is the brand name of all coated webbing products made by BioThane Coated Webbing Corp. It’s basically a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, easy to clean and weldable.

Why is BioThane® better than leather?
BioThane® is more durable, cleanable, stronger and easier to maintain. It is also readily available in different colors.
